Appearance-wise, they are much more attractive and substantial than the plastic grower's pots that most of my plants were in before, and the style has a modern look to it that blends in well with my decor. For the most part, these pots are going to be used come spring, but I wanted to see if they warp or split like cheap pots sometimes do when you actually put a plant in it before I put my seeds and bulbs into them. I transplanted one of my Four o'Clock flowers into the pot and was pleased that they are very sturdy. Made from thick plastic, there was no warping or cracking at all.
I really like the very thorough drainage holes at the bottom and the detachable saucers, sometimes I want to have the plant drain completely and pots that do not let you remove the saucer can cause unnecessary rot if you have them outside and get an excessive amount of rain, but if you want to use them for houseplants that saucer is an absolute must.
