The media could not be loaded. As I am getting ready for camping season I wanted to test out my new electric water heater. I followed the safety warnings and after submerging this into my water bucket I plugged it into my generator. It only took 9 minutes to heat up the water 40 degrees, impressive! Using my IR device it interesting to see how it quickly heated the bucket of water. The heater also had very little pull on my generator so that's a plus. I would say follow the safety protocols and this will work out very nicely. Warm showers from now on!

We are having temps in the low 20's, currently 21. I just pulled the heater from the 55 gallon water barrel and it was at 97 degrees after a few hours. It is easy to use, just plug it in and drop into the water with a cord long enough to reach the bottom of the barrel to heat deeply. It works great and keeps the barrel from freezing up over the last few days. I put it in for 2-3 hours in the evening which keeps the barrel from freezing overnight. The small thermometer is handy to check the temps and has a probe wire long enough to get deep in the barrel. It's a simple device but does have the cheap plastic you'd expect from an off brand made in China item so we'll see how long it lasts. So far so good.

The media could not be loaded. This seems well built and perfedct size for my 5 gallon bucket. I wash my car in my garage during winter and had to fill my 5 gallon bucket with hot water and had to carry to my garage filled. using this heater I no longer need to carry hot water to my garage. I just need to bring hose to my garage and fill the bucket, connect the heater and voila, I will have good warm water. This will be such a great back saver. It warms up the water pretty quick. My water went from 64 f to 94 F within a minute. very fast timing wise. I do not see any temperature setting but it stayed at 140F for as long as it was connected. BE SURE THAT YOU DONT PUT YOUR HAND IN WATER OR START USING WATER WHILE IT IS CONNECTED. Longetivity, I can tell only after the season but is made of metal and comes with temp reader and steel wood, perhaps for brushing any residue off. All in all seems great product and a good value for under $20 bucks. BTW, the picture shows 2 heaters but you will only get one inside :-).

This is like a big brother to the immersion heater that one would stick into a tea cup to heat water. I actually ordered it to use as an auxiliary heater to run alongside the internal heater in my hot-tub after a water change when I'm boosting 200 gallons of water from 63 degrees to 104 degrees. To test the unit I put it into a 5 gallon bucket filled with cold tap-water. In twenty minutes of using it as recommended on the Amazon page, the temperature increased by 40 degrees (from ~60 degrees to ~100 degrees). I've used an 800 watt aquarium heater in a similar fashion with good results.
The heater is basically a 1500 watt water heater element effectively encased in a perforated, stainless-steel cylinder, preventing the actual heating element from coming in contact with surfaces that it could melt.
All of the instructions were reasonably well-written, understandable, and made good sense with regards to safety, efficiency, and using the heater in a way that doesn't throw circuit breakers. The heating element even came with a nice little digital thermometer with a remote, wired temperature probe, and a scrubbing pad (perhaps for cleaning the heating element?)
The unit appears to be well-made and cleanly constructed, and worked flawlessly in my test.
One small caveat to be aware of; other than the stainless shroud around the heating element, the heater is very basic with no other safety controls for temperature shut-off or otherwise. Nothing in my tests indicated that it didn't work as advertised, but as mentioned in the manual, for safety, the person using it needs to be present and watching it. It also points out that the heater is only for heating water, not other liquids.

I got this to use in my RV during the winter when I've "winterized" the camper and still want some warm or hot water. I especially wanted this to heat up water in my "portable" shower. The portable shower is basically a large black water bag with a USB-powered pump. The shower maker is suggesting this is a "solar" shower and that it will heat up the water in the bag easily if you leave it in the sun all day. Well, I've never tried that with this bag, but in the past I have only had mixed results with other solar showers.

This heating device fits into the bag perfectly and just plugs in. It takes a lot of power (1,500 watts), so if you're in a RV I'm thinking you'll need to be plugged into shore power. The heater is pretty straightforward to work. Insert until it's completely covered with water and then plug it in. This does come with instructions printed on the package and on included inserts.

At first I thought it was taking an especially long time to heat the water. That's because I was using the included digital thermometer. Having that digital thermometer was a nice touch from the company, but it didn't come with any sort of instructions. And really, none were needed. However, the digital readout would rise a couple of degrees and then drop two or three degrees..and then it would do that again and again. I'm not sure if that's because I didn't have the probe in the right place or if it was because I would bump the water bag and perhaps the probe moved enough to get to a cooler water spot. (I'm not sure if there's any such thing.)

So after thinking the bag wasn't heating high enough, I got out my "meat thermometer" and stuck it in the water. It instantly showed me the water was way higher than the digital thermometer was showing - and based on that temperature (nearly 120 degrees F), I unplugged the heater and put my finger in the water.

It was plenty hot for a nice hot shower.

It took about 15 minutes in 2 1/2 gallons of tap water to reach that 120 plus degrees. It might have actually reached that a few minutes earlier...but I was not checking except on the included digital thermometer. That thermometer seems very accurate when out of the water when I compare to the readings on a thermometer placed in the same location. It's only in the water that it seems out of touch with what was really going on in the water. That could have been operator error, but again - no instructions came with the thermometer. It's kind of a "freebie" from Lakzoom.

The company also included a little pad of something similar to "Brillo." Like the thermometer, I didn't see any notice of what it is to be used for. I'm assuming it's to clean the heater if it gets a buildup of scale or something. This again seems to be an "extra bonus" from the company, so I guess they figure they don't need to explain it.

So, forgetting about the little "Brillo-type" pad and the digital thermometer, I'm very pleased with how well the actual water heating rod works. It will definitely do the trick for me.
