These work great for viewing sun in more natural color than welding glass. Adapt well to binoculars allowing for observation of sun spots. Purchased for April 2024 eclipse viewing. Seems still too bright for cell phone photos.
Best results on tripod

I used on iPhone, iPad and my SLR camera. Handheld at maximum telephoto not recommended. Use of tripod recommended. The iPad was better than iPhone handheld since you have less motion with larger device. Once you take the shot use edit on phone to get the best shot. I was able to cut the border of the filter to fit into my Cokin filter holder. Works great! First picture is from iPhone, handheld. Second shot from Nikon with Cokin filter holder. Third shot is Nikon with Cokin and solar filter. Only 4 stars since handheld gives poorer results.
