This bath pillow is pretty darn comfortable. The only complaint is that for larger shoulders the pillow is not quite large enough, however it is still worth the price on my opinion.

I have a feeling I'm behind the times on bath pillow technology...... when I ordered this, I'd expected the typical inflatable rubberized ballooney type of bath pillow (which I'm not crazy about, honestly). However, this is NOT that bath pillow.

NO INFLATION! It's ready to go right out of the box. And instead of being composed of vinyl or rubbery plasticky whatever, it's...... I'm not entirely sure, but it reminds me a LOT of the texture and composition of those bath poof scrubbers (imagine one of them with a bit of density to it), so it's soft and cushiony instead of inflated and ballooney. Now, this is a huge advantage when first getting into the bath, as this cushion is the same temperature as your bath water, not chilly from the colder air in the bathroom (or in the pillow itself).

I had some issues using this pillow, all of which were related to the shape of our tub-- we have a japanese style soaking tub, with a seat at the back and a deep soaking area in front of that. Behind my back while sitting, the pillow was a little bulky, but soft and comfy. Once I got in deep, the pillow ended up behind my neck and shoulders-- not the BEST position, but STILL SOFT AND COMFY. Long story short, some positions really didn't suit using this pillow (or any bath pillow), while others were better-- but every time, I ended up really appreciating the pillow! No matter where it was, it was soft, cushy, warm..... and improved my bathtime experience.

Now, because it holds a small amount of water, you DO need to let it dry between uses, but the suction cups are so strong that once I drained the tub, the pillow remained on the back of the tub-- a nice place to get air and dry out.

I really like this bath pillow for the price-- with a normal shaped tub, I suspect I'd like it even more (but I really love the deep soak, so..... nope). I suspect you will like it also! Give it a try!

This pillow's joint is the fabric of the top and bottom sewn together. I was concerned that against a straight-backed bathtub this would either not rest well or not provide cushioning where it was most needed. But in practice, the support both behind head and shoulders are sufficient. Even if I position such that I can feel my head resting on the tub itself, it's not uncomfortable. Although it will take some time to become evident, the strength of that connection will be tested due to the other interesting feature of this pillow's design: it has a hook to hang it to dry. This hook is attached to the left edge of the top portion, so all of the weight of the lower part of the pillow is on the left end of that connection. The hook itself is rather small. It clicks onto my shower curtain rod (26mm ⌀, 1" nominal) securely, but any larger of a rod would likely exceed or damage the hook.

I found the suction cups to be hit and miss. For me, the pillow tends to shift during use, and for removal some cups give way easily and others remain fast till pried away.

The material feels like a plastic not unlike the mesh used for loofahs. The surface has multiple layers. It's not uncomfortable over a short term but I found myself feeling a need to shift after prolonged contact. This may be related to suction cup slippage.

I find this bath pillow squishy and supportive and much more comfortable than my old vinyl covered foam pillow. My only issue with it is that I cannot seem to get the suction cups to adhere for any significant length of time, perhaps because my tub is oval. But, with my head against the pillow in the bath, adherence isn't a problem.

THIS IS AN UNBEATABLE PRICE IN MY BOOK. THERE ARE 4 SUCTION CUPS AND THE NECK ROLL IS ATTACHED BUT STILL ABLE TO BE MOVED AROUND IT JUST NEEDS A LITTLE TIME TO FILL BACK UP AFTER BEING VACUUM PACKED
