Follow the instructions on heat treatment

It's a large bucket with a lot of concrete. Two part, mixes with water.
It can be vibration casted onto a mold, but is not required--eg, you can fill cracks with this if you need to make minor repairs like on a fireplace.
However, it is important to read the drying and heat treatment section of the instructions. You only need to do it once, but it is absolutely necessary to get a strong and insulating cement. It takes a few days to complete, but without it the cement isn't really ready for usage.

I had to reline my chimney as such I needed to do some repairs afterwards to the chimney. The major repairs needed were to big gaps between the chimney and the liner. This high temp cement may not have been necessary for this application as it will not be in direct contact with the heat source but it provided me with a peace of mind.
I mixed it as I would standard cement with some high quality H2O and mixed it with my drill mixer bit that attaches to your drill until I had the consistency that I wanted.
It filled the gap I needed it to fairly well. I will need time to judge how well my playing it by eye went but if that doesn't do the trick I will take the blame for that. The product itself works well as designed.
Now I have a lot of left over, Maybe I need to build a brick oven in the back yard.
I would recommend this for any project where direct or indirect high heat exposure will be a factor.

First, I want to mention that this turned out awesome and was so easy to do! It's a great quality product and I definitely would suggest it for anyone wanting a keepsake of their child, or other loved ones hands, feet, paws, or whatever it is that you want to capture in time.
The one thing that I appreciate most (other than the final product) is that this set comes with a practice sample. The practice sample that comes with it is actually a good size and I was able to make a second sculpture of my daughter's hand with it. The practice allowed me confidence to do the final product and also allowed my daughter to familiarize herself with how it felt and how still she needed to keep her hand.
The set also comes with several shades of paint if you wish to paint your final product. The colors allow for any shade of skin tone and the plaster paints easily. In case there are any rough spots in the plaster, the set also includes fine sandpaper to smooth those out. Once finished, the piece can be placed on its wooden mantle for display.
Overall, I'm very happy with this product and the thought they put into it. The extra practice piece really went above and beyond my expectations of customer service. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone.
