I moved my PC and wireless printer upstairs, away from my router (located in the center floor of my townhome). After moving the PC and printer, the wifi connection kept dropping, so I had to reconnect to wifi every other minute. I saw this wifi extender ("repeater" - ??) on Amazon, and read many of the reviews (particularly the ones with details about installation). I chose this item because it looked pretty simple and I'm not a tech expert in any possible way. I followed the instructions for installation, used my Android phone to check for the extender to show up in available wifi networks, but it didn't show. Then I re-read the section of the installation instructions regarding "WPS Button" --- "If your host router supports WPS function, you can press the WPS button and then press the WPS button of the repeater to establish a secure connection between the host router and the repeater." I followed that direction and after about a minute -- HALLELUJAH! The extender showed in the list of available wifi networks, so I connected my phone to it. Then I unplugged the extender and moved it upstairs next to my PC and printer. The extender network showed up again as an available wifi network for my PC, so I connected and it's been working great!! I didn't have to go through any other steps for installation. I recommend this item and I recommend checking your router for the WPS button, to make the installation even easier.

Well first of all, if you have a
Android/Samsung/Google you're gonna experience the login page that will kick you out in like 4 or 5 seconds. Its going to be annoying so if you have an iPhone, iPad and iMac, you won't experience that.
After setting it up, you basically go back and connect to the wifi repeater that you just create and use it normally and everything works well. Too bad that it still WiFi 4 instead of the latest WiFi 6 or 7 but that's alright.
