Overall when temporary options are limited not a bad fix. Assembly was challenging and instructions offered limited direction/ support. When weighing that item was available online, was returnable if necessary, and doesn't damage property... the good out weighs the bad. Would I feel confident in its ability to hold substantial weight, I am not certain. Thick black out curtains probably...heavy velvet NO!

I got this room divider to hide my messy laundry room area in my unfinished basement. This does exactly what I want it to! I did struggle with the instructions for a while, but after trying a couple of options, I figured out how to get the vertical bars started. I was able to snap the horizontal bar onto the "hook" parts on the vertical bars easily, but I worry that if I need to remove the bar too many times that it would weaken the plastic part. I do not plan on moving this a bunch of times though, so that really shouldn't be an issue. Overall, I feel like this is well-made and will definitely continue to work great in my space. I would recommend this product!

This room divider is handy when you want to have an area cut off from another. The instructions, however, are garbage! I'm not great when it comes to diy projects, but I figured this would be relatively easy. It definitely wasn't! After over an hour of trying to figure this out, I tossed the instructions down and walked away. I came back in the room half an hour later and my husband had it up. So, I can't speak about how exactly he did it. In his words, "I just snapped the pole in the things, used *name of tool* and got everything together. I really don't know how." Sooo, putting it together was a chore. It does work though. One of our teens wanted an area of her room by itself so she can have a makeup area. That's where this came into play. I added some pink and purple blackout curtains and now she has a good space for her vanity and such.

Good for temporary or no damage curtains

I got this for use as a temporary way to hold curtains for a window until installing a permanent solution. This does work pretty well. I have 9 ft ceilings and it was able to fit well vertically, and horizontally works, though there is less adjustment due to the size of each pole. I have tall, heavy curtains up on a 6 ft span and it seems quite strong and holds them well with just the floor-to-ceiling friction.
