If you don’t mind bitter, these are yum
Gadget Girl✓ Verified Purchase•April 29, 2024
These are large, plump, crunchy and taste very fresh. They have a slight almond flavor and are also somewhat bitter. I like them very much.
It's important to note that they contain a amygdalin "“ a substance which breaks down to release cyanide which is poisonous. That means that these should not be eaten in large quantities. I think about 5 per day is considered safe.
They can also be used in baking to enhance almond flavor. They are also considered to have numerous health benefits though I eat them just because I like the flavor. If you are very sensitive to bitter flavors, these might not be for you.

The media could not be loaded. These are absolutely yummy! They don't taste bitter to me when you're eating them, but there is a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. This is a great snack because even though it's only three colonels for 10 cal there are no carbs and one gram of protein! They remind me of nuts, but they don't have the carbs are the fat and nuts have. This makes perfect snack!
Oddly addictive!

The first thing I am going to say is, you really should only eat 3 to 4 kernels per day. I was sso excited to try these that I opened the bag immediately. I popped one in my mouth without reading the bag and was like..."what is this flavor?", I popped another one, hmmmm, still can't figure it...popped another and another until I had eaten ten! Then I read the bag....uh-oh, you should only eat 3 - 4...ugh! I already at ten!
Well, I'm still here to write the review, so I guess I'm okay. From what I can tell, the familiar taste I was trying to figure out is Amaretto. It has a hint of amaretto. Some kernels are more bitter than others. I found the smaller kernels are more bitter. They taste nutty. I'm not going to say they are delicious but there is something about them that makes them oddly addictive.

Surprisingly Pleasant Nutty Texture & Taste - Take Note Only Consume 3 or Less a Day

I decided to try these Organic Bitter Apricot Kernels after reading about their potential benefits for blood pressure and cardiovascular health. Initially, I was a bit apprehensive because there was only one review, and it lamented the horrible taste of the seeds. However, I did not find this to be the case. The texture of the kernels reminds me of filbert nuts"”slightly crunchy, but not overly firm. Taste-wise, they have a subtle nuttiness, and occasionally, I can detect a very faint apricot note, which I find quite pleasant.
One crucial thing to remember is to follow the directions and not consume more than three kernels a day. This is important because the seeds contain amygdalin, which, while touted by some for its potential to help fend off cancer, can break down into cyanide when ingested.

Strangely good, but be careful!

Arrived in perfect condition. The resealable packaging is a plus. The kernels are nice and crisp. They have a very strong taste, reminds me a bit of almond extract with a bit of bitterness added in. Like another reviewer, I had around 10 before I read the warning on the bag about not eating more than 2-3 per day. Apparently the reason to limit consumption is due to the risk of cyanide poisoning.
