This is good software for viewing any media you have stored and gives a few features that can change how you watch or listen.

This is good program for looking at many types of media with many different extensions. There is a UI choose to make the program act like an entertainment system on smart TVs, this is how I use it because it looks cleaner than the default option. The options for AI improvement in video and audio is a nice thing to have, though I prefer my media the way it was originally made, the way the creators intended. The VR viewing feature is actually really nice for getting super immersed into the media you're watching.

If you're just now starting with media viewing programs, this is still a good choice, it's simple to use and has a few good features that other software doesn't have.

I've used Cyberlink products for a few years, and this one was a no-brainer to try out. There's lots here that's great, allowing you to rip video from a variety of sources and then save it for future playback. Installation and use are easy, making this very approachable for beginners to use.
The one thing that is worth cautioning is that there's a lot of claims about what this software can and can't do that are misleading. As a commercially available software, it's important people understand this will not rip protected media, and does have protections against being used for piracy.

When I got my new computer several years ago, I was surprised that there was no video player in the manufacturer's original software suite. So I downloaded something free and have been limping along ever since. I got CyberLink PowerDVD 23 Ultra on a whim... it is so much better in all aspects than the cheap video player that shall remain nameless. I haven't had a chance to explore all features but here is what I have learned so far:
- Video quality on my computer is much better than before
- It plays every video format I've thrown at it
- Sound quality on my cobbled together computer sound system is better than before

I am looking forward to learning how to trim videos & converting them to MP4. This is the one feature that sold me on getting this product, but there there is a learning curve and I haven't had time to get there yet.

I am a firm believer that programming is real work and people should get paid for the code they write. I didn't realize how much I was degrading my experience by using cheap software.
