I know the recommended age is 3+, but I got this for my almost 2 year old as a quiet restaurant toy. It's been a hit! Perfect that it comes with a travel bag.
If I get the beginning and end of string started, she likes to poke the rest of it in the grooves. And if I pick the end of a string off, she likes to pull it off.
I was very surprised by the quality of this little toy. The bottom is raised so that the silicone is on the bottom, making this have a soft bottom that little kids won't scratch themselves with or hurt themselves on. The silicone board is very soft and my toddler likes to rub her hands on it.

This is a fun sensory toy. It's made of a great material that is easy to clean and feels nice. Both of my kids get lost in making new color patterns and trying to fill the board. I volunteer at a preschool regularly and ALL the kids want a turn and I get so many requests to bring it out to play. It's just as fun for adults!
