I'm very impressed with the Eko 500 digital stethoscope for its sound quality ( and ability to switch between cardiac and pulmonary modes). The sound quality is the loudest and clearest of any stethoscope I have used, with no background noise interference. I've used analog products for years, and this one's far superior. The screen & phone app provide immediate additional helpful information while listening. I highly recommend this stethoscope both for healthcare providers who use a stethoscope daily and especially for those who use one less frequently as it really makes the task of listening far easier. I let my anesthesia and nursing staff try it in the OR as well and they were equally impressed and all commented how clear and loud the heart/lung sounds were.

I ordered this product for home use and to help develop my auscultation skills. I practice as a newer RN so the display of a real time heart rate and wave form during auscultation helps to bring the data pieces together all at once. The ability to isolate pulmonary vs cardiac sounds is very useful to me for learning especially. I do not use this in my practice, however, because I prefer to have the option to auscultate through an analog stethoscope. I also cannot always remove clothing or other barriers to making complete skin contact that the leads need to get a reading. Overall, this is a helpful learning tool, and the entire process of ordering through receiving the product was prompt without any damage to the packaging. It was a nice unboxing experience as well for those who are into that kind of thing!

Overall, amazing stethoscope. This is my first time having a digital stethoscope and I was on the fence but now that I've used it a couple weeks I love the sound quality - it's incredible. It's easy to hear and classify both heart and lung sounds. I especially like seeing the ECG on-screen when listening, it helps me flag any abnormalities more quickly. Also the Eko App helps because I can take recordings of what I'm hearing. I like the additional confidence that I'm not missing signs of a murmur or AFib just by listening. Ten out of ten!
