Easy. get one six-side die
John Brian Sommers•March 10, 2018
I returned this item. I could see real quick that the re-play value would be low.
You want solo chess? Easy.
get one six-side die.
assign each piece a number: 1 pawn, 2 rook, 3 knight 4 bishop 5 queen 6 king
now roll
you can move anyone of the type that corresponds to the number rolled.
special rules: if the king gets put into check, then the checked king can move without rolling.

Great Brain Teaser
Toluca Kidd•December 22, 2017
Great Brain Teaser!!!! There are 4 levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. They give you the solutions to all the games if you get stuck. I had some problems at the beginner level because it's kind of strange making moves without an opponent. After I got the hang of it, the beginner level was fairly easy. The Intermediate level was alittle harder, but I got most of them without looking at the answers.
But the Advanced and Expert Levels, Oh Boy! You really got to think about the moves. I mean, in the beginner and intermediate levels, you only have to think about 2 or 3 moves ahead. The Advanced and Expert levels require you to think further ahead.
Overall, I enjoyed each game. What I basically did was try a strategy; and if it didn't work. I start again until I won. I only thought about 2 or 3 moves ahead, because if I tried to think beyond that, I got exhausted after a while, I bought the game to be challenged, but I mainly wanted to have fun. The Beginner and Intermediate Levels were enjoyable, but the Advanced and Expert Levels were a bit too much for me.

Worth checking

Bought this to have in my high school classroom for when we have a few minutes for games and for the chess club. An interesting set of exercises for thinking. I'm not sure if it transfers to playing chess, but several students seem to enjoy the puzzles.
Fantastic game

This is fantastic if you are a game and puzzle nerd like I am. It has definitely improved the way I think when I play chess by teaching me a new perspective on the game.
Best Game around for a Single Player

The Solitaire Chess Game is a very fun game based on the movement rules of chess. The objective is to move one piece at a time, while capturing another piece until you have only one piece left on the board. There are 80 sets to play from beginner level through expert. I enjoy the game very much as it is a meditative exercise. Even some of the little beginner puzzles can be a little tricky. My 11 year old daughter enjoys the game too! Highly recommended for the chess or puzzle aficionado!
