Good set, lots of variety for older toddlers.

My two year old really loves the crepe circle puzzles with different shapes and this is one of many toys we take with us to restaurants when we want a little time to eat our food and keep the kiddo happily occupied. We get at least 10-15 minutes on this one activity before we have to switch it up. With assistance he enjoys the lacing activities but could never do this, the alphabet crepe puzzle or the interlocking discs on his own. Stashed those pieces away until he's a bit older. Good set.
Keeps kids quiet and occupied at church!

This kit is fantastic! I initially got it for my little girls to help with dexterity. It is WONDERFUL for keeping them and other little kids (boys too) quiet and occupied during church. And there are enough different activities to keep them busy for a while. Whether a child likes to do letter puzzles, make words, shape puzzles, make a necklace, lace, or build with the discs, there is something for most kids in here. My one suggestion...put it in some sort of carry case. The cardboard box doesn't last long with how much mine is used. So, I have put it in a 1 gallon freezer bag. Now I love to give this as gifts to toddlers.
Nice learning toys

Our preschool age child has enjoyed this from the moment we opened it. The parts are smaller than I had expected, but fit in a gallon sized zip bag just fine. One of the lacing boards has separated, so we've applied glue. There is a chemical smell that most foam seems to have these days. I think a fabric bag will be better for these pieces.
Great learning and fun at the same time

This is great. I shopped around for price and quality and I went with this package. It's great quality and bright colors. My toddler loves it and nothing is too hard or too easy so it's really building his skills. I have not had any issues with this at all and plan to buy it as a gift for a friend's child as well.
Quality product, great for early learning. Needs a number puzzle

I have always loved Lauri's famous crepe rubber. I remember using these when I was a child, and I was thrilled to provide them to my children for their early learning experience. The Crepe rubber gives just enough to pop out the shapes and alphabet pieces, but is not so loose that they cannot be placed snugly back in. You can "swing" the alphabet puzzle without worrying that the letters will come flying off into space . . .
The only items in this puzzle that are not made out of crepe rubber are the lacers. Im not sure why that is, maybe they have done product testing and found that the shoelaces could cut through the rubber? Who knows. At any rate, while they are "ok," there are three of them, and they aren't great-especially for a three year old boy. I chose to supplement these with their Lacing & Tracing Tools, and Lauri's Lacing & Tracing Dinosaurs.
The only reason I am giving this Primer Pak four stars instead of five is due to the absence of a number puzzle. If you are going to include an alphabet puzzle, doesn't it make sense to include a number puzzle as well? We have shapes-check, colors-check, lacing manipulative-check, and the alphabet . . . but no numbers? I did go on ahead and purchase the Lauri Toys Number Play to fill that void, but I was disappointed that this large primer pak was actually cheaper than the Toy number play pak. I felt like I got my money's worth from the Primer Pak, but overpaid on the number play pak. I feel that paying $19.99 for both would be a very good offer. As it is, you pay about $25 for both by purchasing separately. Great for Lauri, but I think they can give the consumer more for less.
