This game is great. My lids love it and so do my husband and I. Yes the plastic is a little flimsy, but certainly it is up to the task and so long as you put it away when you are done i can't see any problem with it lasting for years. I took off one star simply because it comes with 96 counters (or thereabouts) and it really isn't enough. We end up pulling out pennies and using them for additional counters. Note, it doesn't come with a pack of playing cards, but i imagine most homes have a pack laying around. Overall a great game. We have had our money's worth of fun already in the first week.

A really fun game and with the large size of the tray cups we will be able to use regular poker chips. At first, we hesitated buying this particular brand of Michigan Rummy because of previous reviewers saying the tray was very flimsy, leading us to wonder if we should buy two games so we could double the thickness by nesting the trays together or else see if we could backfill a single tray with expanding foam to add structural support. Upon receiving the single game, however, we found the tray we were sent is actually fairly sturdy. We had no trouble at all playing a Michigan Rummy game with friends and expect the tray will probably hold up well enough on its own. We're very happy to have taken the chance, especially for the low price that was listed ($10 in September 2018.) The downside of the set we received is actually the small number of playing chips that are included, but now that we know the tray is large and sturdy enough we have already ordered a much larger number of regulation size poker chips to replace them.

A friend introduced us to this game and we loved it so much we bought our own. It is very easy to learn and any age can play it. You can use just about anything to put in the pot; m & m's, pennies, peanuts, etc. And it requires a little strategy to win even though you won't think so at first. (Note: Requires at least 3 players.)
