I had been looking for a nice GO board for awhile, but couldn't afford a fancy set. I wanted something for in my classroom on board game days to introduce my students to this amazing game. This set has proven to be fantastic. The board is nicely made, and the pieces, while not super fancy, and decent quality. This is a great set for anybody who wants to play GO or is learning the game. The set also is fairly light when in the box, so it's easy to take GO on the go. :P

This is a fairly inexpensive version of the game and somewhat miniature. If you're going for a nice display piece, then this isn't what you're looking for. But if you just want to be able to play the game, this is perfect. It's lightweight and inexpensive, but sturdy. And the game itself has been around for, quite literally, centuries, so you can't really go wrong with it.

Great beginner set. Love the instruction manual, and the box. Some of the plastic pieces were a little defective and I wish the board was bamboo. Also wish there was something more solid to keep the pieces

This is the great eastern game of skill, thought, and strategy. In this particular version it lacked a container for the black and white pieces and so they become easily lost. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with the game for the price.

For a $20 go board you really can't expect too much. With this, I feel you get what you pay for, the board is a tad bit small but durable and the same goes to the stones. If you're trying to get into go, start a go club, or if you're a kid and you need a go board that wouldn't be impossible to convince your parents to buy, this product is perfect.
