The top of this is a ubiquitous design. I have one with the suction cup on the bottom and it wiggles around too much. The holes for the screws from the sheet metal base into the frame above have too much room. This is MUCH more secure and solves the problem. Thank you! :)

So far we're happy with this gadget. It works awesome for crisp fresh apples! If the apples are a tiny bit soft you have to be careful with it and go slower. If the apples are even a tiny bit past soft it doesn't work very well as the spinning prongs tear through apple and spin freely inside of it. To counter this with softer apples I turn the apple by hand as I crank it which pretty much solves the problem. But again... with fresh crisp apples... SO much fun to use! I use this for dehydrating prep. It makes dehydrating go SO much faster. I'd definitely buy it again. But I won't have to because not only does it appear sturdy and well made, I bought two because the price was so reasonable. Always nice to have a backup.
Great Peeler for Apples and Potatoes

I truly love this peeler. I use it not only for apples, but potatoes as well. This particular peeler has to be mounted on a tables end - it is not the suction one. When peeling apples, it does get juicy and sticky. It is nice as the peeler does odd shaped apples without any problem. I used the skin shavings and cores to feed the deer. The apples are just the perfect size for many dishes.
