I am a very avid wood worker for many years. I upgraded from a router table to a shaper this past year. As most of my router bits are old I decided to upgrade from router bits to shaper heads. I looked a long time at fixed cutter heads verses carbide insert cutter heads. Although the insert tooling is excellent (Read $$$) for a small 1 man shop I went with the fixed head cutters. All I can say is wow. If you are thinking about upgrading stop thinking and upgrade. These shaper heads are amazing.
