I've had my MK-100 for about 10 years now. I am a DIY'er and love to tile. I do mainly slate. I've used this saw to help me install slate floors in my kitchen, bathroom and living room. I've also used it to install 12" granite tiles for my kitchen counters instead of paying thousands to have someone else install solid granite counters.
My downstairs bathroom has slate tile on the floor, in the shower and slate tiles completely cover the walls and ceilings. 2" x 12" slate strips on the walls and various size strips on the ceiling.
I've tiled the wall near the upstairs bedrooms and have decorated other areas of my house with slate all using the MK-100. I'm on my third blade, which isn't bad for 10 years of use. Maybe in 5 or 10 years I'll spoil myself and upgrade to the MK-101.
I have my MK-100 permanently installed in my Colorado basement with a water line attached to the saw permanently for convenience.

Works great, the sealed motor makes all the difference.

I have used this saw a lot in the past few months. I read some reviews about the table not moving smoothly, I think its like anything else it needs upkeep too. Take care of it and it will do the job.

Recommended as a good quality saw which was purchased to complete outside brick walkway and walkout patio. Easy to use.

We bought this saw to cut tile as well as other "rocks." It is a beast and we love it! The water pump keeps the blade thoroughly hydrated, the power is excellent, and the saw is very well made. We have cut tile, agatized coral, and granite on this saw and never experienced a loss in power. It plowed right through all of it like a hot knife through butter! Thank you MK for an excellent product. Thus far, we are very satisfied customers. :)
