I finally used my Timeranger. It will take me some time to learn how to use it properly. However, it seems to work great. It is lightweight, and fits my arm/hand well. I am glad they sent a manual with it. Now to find a good place to look for treasure.

I've had it now for a little over a month and with alot of research and practice almost have my tones down. So far I have found ring, ear ring, and coins, and of course trash. Perfect for the beach but not wet sand I would say.

Love my detector! I did a lot of research prior to buying this metal detector. It is very easy to setup and with some practice it is easy to use. I buried an assortment of coins and other objects in my back yard at different depths and found and identified them easily. Also found some screws left behind by the metal roof installers from 6 months ago. My son and I have gone out at a couple of different locations around Canyon Lake in Texas, but so far have only found canslaw. I have no doubt once we find a good spot we will find treasure.
