Love LeapPad!

We love the big bands & old composers. This is a great addition to our Leapfrog book sets collection. It teaches children about composers & their beautiful music. I recommend this to all parents who want their children to learn about the finer musicians from long ago. It even has the Lone Ranger theme in it.

I am 16 years old and having grown up with this LeapPad book, I must say, it was the best thing ever. Music has been a huge part of my life. I am currently playing classical piano in state contests and singing soprano in all-state choirs, and I'm pretty sure this is partly inspired from what I learned as a child from this really cool LeapPad book and cartridge! Kids will learn about 13 different composers, over 40 of those composers' very important works of music, a little bit of early music theory, how an orchestra and choir is set up, and a whole lot more. My favorite sections were the pages about opera, the page about The Nutcracker, and the pages about Handel. Also the games are very fun :) I definitely recommend this! The book says Grade 2, I've had this LeapPad book and cartridge ever since I was in kindergarten. Great book, very informative and fun at the same time, easy to understand (children younger than 1st graders may need help with the reading, but, if my memory is correct, you can have the book read certain parts to you), really rooted my love and understanding of music, works great with the LeapPad, what more could you ask for?

This was purchased for my 6 year old granddaughter for Christmas. She LOVES it. Cannot get her off the Nutcracker page. Her 3 year old brother likes it too, when he can get it. It makes learning fun.
