Dont know why I didn't play this sooner!

I have never had the experience to play Kingdom Hearts. I thought now would be the time since Kingdom Hearts 3 is coming out soon. I dont what ever stopped me from playing sooner. This game is fun with just the right mixture of seriousness but has the lighthearted goofy disney we all love and know. Graphics are pretty good considering this is for playstation 2. The voice acting for the main character seems kind of subpar but as the game continues its hard to notice when all your favprite characters from other works are popping up. Id say this is pretty kid friendly and a good game for any disney lover.

This was the very first game I ever bought at the age of 3 years old I'd played many times but I never got through the first level aka Destiny Islands/ 12 years later at the age of 15 I bought this game again because it left such in impression on me I had to play it and play all the other games that came after it and no other kingdom hearts game really holds a candle too this one not to say the other ones are horrible there all fantastic but this game will introduce u to so much lore and by the end of this game if u don't love it and love the characters I'll be very very shocked/ I'd say by this for the PS3 but if u want the full expirence that I had when I was 3yrs by this for the PS2, the PS3 version is called Kingdom Hearts 1.5

I bought this as a gift for my 9 year old daughter. We are old school gamers and primarily play NES, SNES, N64, P.S. 1 and P.S. 2... and wanted her to have the fun we had playing this game when it first came out.

It was purchased as "new old stock". It arrived in factory wrapping in a bubble mailer.

There have been numerous reviews done on this game throughout the years since its release. I won't bore anyone with a repeat of all that has been written. I will simply say... Disney meets Final Fantasy.... and leave it at that.

I love both Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. I am glad they improved upon some toggling issues in the second game as well as selection issues as well as issues concerning your team such as if you would try to lift a box your teammates would be in the way and the box would break or drop (no lifting boxes in the 2nd game). If you have played the game you know what I am talking about. Toggling issues pertaining to the view of looking up and down to scroll around you are better in the second game as well and without interference from walls as well. There are other selection issues that are avoided in the sequel, but you will see the difference in the game play for yourselves. Even though game play has improved in the second game; both games have their charms to them and both games have great story lines and interesting ways to interact with people and the game on a whole.
Simple and Clean is the way that your making me feel tonight...

After all of these years, I still know all of the words to the opening song, Simple and Clean. ^_^

I first played this game in 2002 when it came out and I was blown away by the cinema and play through graphics. I loved all of the cameo's. You get Selphie from FF8, Tidus and Wakka from FF10 and others. Some of the voice overs are from the original actors from the Disney movies.

Right from the beginning you have to make a choice and a sacrifice. I knew from there that it was going to be a great game! It seriously is Final Fantasy meets Disney. I'm glad I added this back to my collection.
