Good inverter for my needs. I upgraded from an older PV1200 to this one and like the additional power and features I now have. It's lighter than my old one and fits in the same location which was an important consideration as my service van.has been set up for quite a few years and I wasn't about to relocate the cabinets, etc.

Stopped working after 37 months - hoped to have close to 5-year life span. It's not been heavily used at all since utility power in my area is very reliable. Just brought another brand last month and will try to update one year later.

only put around 500 watts on this unit so far but seems to easily handle most loads without a whole lot of fuss. I'm using this to run ham radio gear off the battery bank and keep it charged as well. I used a powerpole 175 amp connector set and 1/0 cable to feed this and a 175Amp fuse for now, you should try to order the proper 225(no decimals here!)amp fuse to install this unit safely as its not a common auto parts store item. This is not one of those 1500 watt truck stop units that will overheat after one hour, it will go that 1250/1875W overpower watts91 to 60 minutes) until it drains out the battery or the charging system and powers down to low voltage,, get a snowplow alternator and you can easily run a circular saw, and about every OTHER type of saw but i would note that if your needing this all day, a 300-400 dollar generator is a better investment really. For a few quick board cuts, this is a ideal solution as the time it takes to /move/start/setup the generator is more than plugging into this, starting the engine and sawing really. . The 30A battery charger here is nice as in your shop you can plug this into the wall and your batteries will be kept 100% charged and ready to go for vehicles that don't get daily usage!
