great little thing

Can't go wrong with this handy little alarm clock. I used to always have a radio clock but after burning through 5-6 of them I started looking for a alarm clock. I bought a big TRIIIMMMMM one and I just hate all the hoopla and to be startled in the morning waking up. So I don't use it even though it is also an excellent alarm clock. When I bought this - yes now this is just right. Not too loud and it does let me snooze but I can't snooze for too long bc it will keep gently beeping to remind you to wake up. All my friends use the cell phone to wake up but I have to put like 5 alarms and if the first wakes me up I have a hard time turning off and remembering to turn it on again for the next day .... SO if you are like me - and cannot use a cell phone to wake yourself up - this is a great little device- 5/5 stars!
Replacement Clock hits it out of the park

Wanted a replacement travel clock which had an alarm off button on top and not a snooze button, nothing came up in the searches. But I noticed this one in the lineup of clocks at the bottom of the page of the third one I came across with the snooze button. Could it, yes, it is, on off button on top. All black with glow green numbers, even came with a battery. Sold. This replaces an Elgin Clock which has lasted 10 years.
CAN'T SEE AT NIGHT

I have 2 older Casio analog travel alarm clocks and they are still working. One has been running for about 20 years and the other one since 2004. I bought this compact 2x2" one two days ago.

It runs accurately and quietly and the alarm works. Something bothers me a little.

After placing it 6" directly under my 75W desk lamp for 45 mins I turned off the lamp. 5 mins later, I can barely see anything in the dark ---- the digits and hands did NOT luminate any more. The lack of snooze doesn't bother me because my other 2 Casio have no snooze feature but they both have lights so I can tell time in a pitch dark hotel room when I travel.

This compact Casio is attractive at under $9.00, and it came with an AA battery. I like it well enough to add to my collection despite I can't see time in the dark. Will find a place in the house for it.
Clock is PERFECT

If you want a portable alarm clock or alarm that will stay by your bed all the time, this clock is AWESOME! Clear to read, clear to set time and alarm, and nothing to get in the way or confuse things. These are also cheap enough that I could buy more than one and keep a backup alarm out of reach from bed. Seriously, if you ever have anxiety about sleeping too late and missing work, get a few of these and stagger the alarm times. I sleep easier knowing that I won't sleep too late.
One of my "must have" travel items

I bought one of these years ago in Rome when my expensive, multi-time zone, many featured digital failed miserably after only weeks. It worked perfectly while the hotel operator that was supposed to give a slightly earlier wake-up call slept. It worked perfectly on trips thereafter and was a vital companion to make sure flights were made in time. Simple, runs on a single easily found AA cell for a long time and easily seen at night with its glowing dial and hands. A perfect example of KISS! After years of use I broke it in Rio with a pre-dawn flight to catch by forcing in a rechargeable battery that may have been a bit out of shape in darkness. Fortunately the operator in the airport hotel was on his toes though I slept less soundly knowing my reliable little wake-up companion was ruined. I was very unhappy, not expecting to find an exact replacement after the years. There was a big grin when I found Amazon had the exact thing and it sits ready to go among my travel gear. The old one resides in a little corner of a drawer with small "memories" of good things. I got some of the first digital, multi-time zone, calculator watches when they came out in Japan so I know digital. I often like digital. This is the clock I depend upon to wake me for must make flights. The only thing that knocked off a star for mechanics and construction is the fact replacing a battery in less than ideal conditions did break the original.
