Pretty good and helps us stay on top of son's weight.
InnocentBystander•March 26, 2018
Good scale. It is a good size and feels quality. My son was premature and has a growth issues so it is important that I stay on top of his weight trends. I was tired of only knowing his weight by going to the pediatrician. It does not read the same as the scale at the doctors. But they use it on the bed in the room, which I feel like is a scale 101 no-no. ? I use it on a hard surface, the bathroom counter. I zero it out with a diaper if he's got a clean one on. The scale one day read 9lbs 11 ounces, but at the doctor hers read 9lb 8 ounces. Not sure whats up with that. Either way it's good to know if numbers (whatever they really are) are generally going up or down. It was annoying to have to buy a whole package of 9vold batteries for this bc it only needs 1. I don't think it would have killed them to just include a battery. In all though, it is a good way for me to stay involved in his growth and I feel way better knowing right then and there if he's doing well.
Seems solid and accurate

So far it seems okay and pretty accurate. I bought it to weigh cats. I used some barbell weights to check calibration and was spot on with three different weight plates. It appears to be well-constructed, and the top is not held up by big springs so if you're using it to weigh cats or dogs they won't get freaked out by the thing bouncing all over the place.
If it works for an RN, it works for us.

Love this scale for my baby. She wasn't gaining quickly, and instead of bringing her to the clinic weekly to weigh, we bought this scale. We compared the weight to the clinic scale, and it was spot on. It is hard to pinpoint the exact weight if the baby is squirmy, but you definitely get a good idea. I chose this scale because this is the one the home health nurse had when she did a post partum checkup. If it works for an RN, it works for us.
Pretty much essential for getting cats to lose weight

I highly recommend a scale like this if you're trying to get your cats to lose weight. We used to try to weigh our cats with a bathroom scale, but there wasn't enough precision to correctly adjust their food intake. A scale like this helps a lot, and our cats are now much healthier.
There are only a couple minor issues I have with this product:
- The buttons have an ugly yellow tinge to them. This is purely an aesthetics thing, but it would really look better if the buttons were white.
- When measuring in pounds/ounces, it's difficult to get a reading because it literally displays fractions of ounces (like "1/2"). Unless whoever you're measuring is very steady, the reading changes in a way that makes it hard to read. Because of this, I measure in kilograms, which is a lot easier. The only downside is that your vet might look at you funny when you tell them your cat's past weight in kilograms.

Reliable, accurate weight measure

This was the same scale that our GI doctor uses, so we got it to check on the baby's progress between visits (she had fallen off the charts for weight and was diagnosed with a milk/protein allergy). She tolerates this really well and no longer cries when they put her in it at the doctor's because she's used to it at home. I tried to figure out how accurate this is by weighing hand held weights and weight plates here at home and it was spot on. At our pediatrician's office they use the old-school scale with the tab that you shuffle to the left and right to try and find the correct weight and their scale is always 6-10oz off of what our's says, which can be alarming, but since I know how well our scale works I don't worry about the one at the pediatrician's office.
