I use this scale every day to do weighted feeds on my newborn as I don't produce much milk. It's not the most accurate but usually does the job. The most annoying part is that I have to weigh him multiple times before I get the same reading. If he just barely moves it shows a different weight. This is probably just how any scale is though"¦

I bought this because my cat was dying of kidney disease and I wanted to keep track of her weight. It was fine for that purpose, I was looking to see if she lost or gained a lot of weight (a pound is a lot) as an indicator of how well she was doing.
So from day to day it worked fine, it was pretty easy to use once she got used to it. But I noted it was about half a pound off from the scale at the vet's office. Since my interest was relative loss or gain it didn't matter much. But if you are going to rely on accuracy you might investigate whether it can be calibrated. Of course the vet could have a bad scale for all I know but I think we got weighed in different rooms so ...
My cat passed on and I could see she was getting to the end when I saw her losing weight every day for a week. The scale was good enough to do what I needed.

I am so happy with this baby scales! My baby was struggling to gain weight so we were very concerned about it and the scales were the best solution since we could monitor her weight gain daily and put our mind to rest. I purchased this to monitor the weight of an ill kitten, but he passed away the day it was received, so I returned it.
Then his twin brother stopped eating due to grief, and rapidly lost weight, so I purchased a less expensive version of it, which was too small even for a 5.5 pound kitten. SO, i repurchased this in order to monitor his weight, and it's also come in handy for my larger, older cats. It's long enough that they fit comfortably (which prevents them from darting off), and registers weight quickly.
Can't speak for how it works for human babies, but it's certainly well worth the money for cats - in my case, ranging from 5.5 to 16 pounds (so also probably good for smaller dogs/puppies).
