Looks good and works well as a bathroom vent.

This product has met all my expectations and is priced well. My new bathroom fan had come with a damper but it could be heard closing and clanking because of the outside air coming in and I could also hear all the noises from the outside. My outside fan exhaust is right above the outside AC unit which makes it even worse. This vent cover with 2 dampers fixed both of my problems since it only opens up when the bathroom fan turns on and is otherwise closed for outside wind and noises. I bought 2 units, the other one will go to the other bathroom fan so everything looks the same on my house...
I would however not recommend this unit for a dryer exhaust since lint would eventually build up on the mesh cover which could be a fire hazard. I assume in some areas this could also be against the building code.

Great way to vent an exhaust fan.
Not for vented soffit and poor materials.

The materials on this are really bad. Can't imagine this costing more than a few cents to manufacture. Also, think carefully about how moist warm air may leave this vent if you have a vented soffit. In that case, all the moist warm air will immediately be pulled back up into the soffit and begin a potential mold or rot problem.

The biggest part to me is that it does not actually terminate the ducting. There is no collar to secure it to so that you can help direct the air so this would be really bad for a vented soffit.
