Handy Product For Metal Roof Material

I had some metal roof material I needed to cut. It takes some practice and getting used to but it cut through the metal easily. Since the metal was corrugated, I suggest that you put the metal on a firm board on the back and perhaps a board across the top to brace the metal as it will vibrate. The bracing will help stabliize the material and make the cut smoother and cleaner. Also, don't use a portable drill; it is too slow. Use a powered drill and the work will be much faster.

A worthy tool addition

Took me a couple of practice cuts to get used to, and I had to figure out how to hold it with my power drill - there were no instructions. I found a you-tube video showing someone using this - and that helped. I had purchased the optional brace that kind of holds it to your drill - and that also had no instructions. Cutting 20 ga stainless - can be done with this tool, and that was not possible with my hand shears. The cutting required good clamping, and pushing quite hard to keep the blades from squishing out of the cut as they pinch. If you are used to a nibbler experience, this is not that.
