I bought this along with the Dewalt DW734 planer. The planer fit great and assembly went just fine. This is a heavy and beefy stand. Not shown in the picture (as of this writing) is a middle shelf you can install. I would have liked some better wheels on the side but I don't imagine I'll be moving it around a lot. You can mount the foot pedal on the inside or the outside. My shop space it somewhat small so I mounted it on the inside which makes it a bit difficult to get to. I would have preferred a slightly different system than this to raise/move the base but overall I'm quite happy with it.

I am really pleased with this product. It is very sturdy and it is used with a 89# bench drill press, WEN 12 in. variable speed press. The really pleasant part of putting this stand together is that the bolts were in packages that were labeled as to their usage -- what a great idea and worth 10 stars. I chose not to reinforce the top with plywood as some of the other commentators did since the top appears to be adequate for the WEN drill press..

I should have bought this years ago to save strain on my back of moving the planer around. Hole were pre-drilled to mount my planer. well made with quality fasteners supplied to assemble it. probably the best packaged product i've ever seen. plastic sleeves protect all the metal parts from scratching. the fasteners in separate bags so it's easy to organize the parts for assembly.

What a great product. Assenbly takes some time but that you would expect. A word of advice assemble complete tightening finger tight before you wrench anything home. I found the instruction very clear although some higher quality graphics would be nice to see bolt heads clearly. She is a heavy beast for its size but it has to be to hold a planner stable. When I can afford another one or two I would not hesitate buying them even at $150.00 buck unless of course DeWalt wants me to test a few of them or others they may have. I am not a name brand dude but I will leave the DeWalt on this one they deserve it. Fantastic job in design I hope the slide saw and planner I bought from them are just as good. I wasn't a DeWalt fan before but things may have changed.

I downgraded this one star because of the terrible instructions noted by others and because I think the wheels could be a little more substantial. Otherwise it seems very solid although it is still awaiting delivery of its planer.

The instructions are so bad - DeWalt (and I generally like DeWalt a lot) should be ashamed. What worked for me was to blow the picture from the Amazon page up to full size by clicking on it, save it to my computer as a .jpg file by right clicking on it, and print it The picture is sharp and clear and fills most of a letter size page. With the detailed picture at hand, the need for the instructions pretty much goes away. The picture shows how the parts fit and where the bolts do and do not go. If in doubt, just use the shortest bolt that will fit, and reserve the nylon locking nuts for the two small wheels. Leave all the bolts fairly loose until all are installed, then tighten everything.
