Incredible Trident Maple.

Incredible plant was delivered and is thriving and growing. If you want a real bonsai tree order this but , be warned you must water everyday and care for it long term. Must be outside and protect it from freezing in the winter.
Healthy and big!!
Charlotte E✓ Verified Purchase•July 27, 2023
I was very surprised how large and full this ginkgo was when it arrived at my home, but it was healthy and thriving so I put it directly in my sunroom to recover from the long trip. Already past a week and it's gotten quite a few new leaves and is super green! It's loving the rainfall over here in the southwest, and gets lots of gentle morning sun sitting next to my miniature fig tree. I'm very pleased with this specimen! I may consider buying another as a companion to this one!
Pyracantha SHORTER than Discription
W.T.Hoffman✓ Verified Purchase•July 8, 2023
The Pyracantha I recieved was MUCH shorter than the 13 inches mentioned in the discription. The plant is barely 8 iches high at the tallest shoot, with most of the plant just 6-7 inches tall. Even if the 13 inches means from the bottom of the planter to the top of the plant, its only 10 or 11 inches at the most. Also, they say this is an OUTDOOR plant. However, my information says this plant will die below 23 degrees, making it a ZONE 6-8 plant. If you live in zones 2-6, and dont have an inclosed porch, I'd keep this plant indoors during the winter. The plant looks very healthy, tho petite, an effect heightened by the large 8 inch cherry red pot it's housed in. I bought it in FEBUARY, before the spring growth spurt. With the size of the planter, I expect the Pyracantha to experience quite a growth spurt this spring and summer, so it could very well be at least 10-11 inches big, by autumn. Also, you notice all the red berries on the plant? The particular beauty of this plant lies in the profusion of red berries in the fall that replace the late spring flowers. My plant had about 4 berries on it, tho I noticed at least 6 or 7 berries had fallen off during shipping. Unlike the other tropical (indoor) Bonsai I bought from Brussels, this plant's leaves were NOT surrounded in styrofoam popcorn. Apparently they put that in the box, as insulation, more then twig protection. These plants come in a large cardboard box marked LIVE PLANT. Inside, the planter is surrounded by special cardboard shipping protection, that elevates the planter from the boxes bottom and centers it, making it immobile. Also, the packers provide foam protection around the planter, then the planter placed in a plastic bag that's wrapped tight around the planter and dirt. Also, the plant is well watered. It's so well packed, there's no way for the plant to come to harm. Also for a winter purchase, this species is more tolerant of the winter cold, than the tropical and subtropical house bonsai trees.
I unwrapped the bonsai and placed it on a window sil. These plants like FULL SUN. If you get fireblight, which affects plants of this genera, take off the infected shoots and burn them. My Bonsai book says to trim this species in late summer, after flowering stops. About the ONLY thing I have found wanting with the Brussel's bonsai trees, is lack of any growing recommendations specific to the variety of Bonsai you purchase. Since obviously these plants vary in their place of origin, ranging from TROPICAL (Gardenia, Tea Tree and Umbrella Tree) to Hardy (Maple, Pine and so on), each tree needs various types of care, to thrive and live. They have one generic pamplet with Bonsai instructions. Even when it comes to replanting, that depends on how fast the plants grow (Redwoods grow fast, Junipers grow slow, for example). Until the company wises up, and produces detailed ONE PAGE instructions for each variety, I'd research the Internet to determine exactly how you should take care of each individual species of bonsai, for the CLIMATE ZONE where you live. (If you dont know your climate zone, its on the back of seed packages for outdoor gardening, or check it out on line somewhere.) It seems that tropical plants might be best bought in the spring and fall. Severe heat or cold, or LONG shipping options, will obviously stress your bonsai, especially the delicate varieties. If you dont have AMAZON PRIME, it might be wise to take Amazon up on their "one month free" option, if you plant to buy some Bonsais. (or pay for the 2 day shipping. Your plant will thank you for it.) The best advice you can get with Bonsai, is to be patient, and learn to move in tandem with the flow of nature that surrounds your plant.

Beautiful Tree!
Shannon✓ Verified Purchase•June 8, 2023
Bought it because I love Bonsai trees! Said it was easy to care for. I guess it is but I have had a bit of trouble as you definitely need to water it EVERY DAY let they say!! Got COVID-19 and was down for a week and it didn't fair well with me ignoring it. I also wasn't let it have enough light so relocated it and am watering it every day as needed. It is responding well as I would have hated to lose it because of neglect. The tree does need to be fed due to the small pot it is in. If you can't find bonsai tree food you can use Azalea plant food as it closely matches what the tree needs for food. That you can find in almost any garden shop if you just look.
Brussel's sent the tree well packaged (large box with foam peanuts for protection) and it arrived in great condition just as they described! Got to give them credit as I am sure shipping something like this is a huge pain in the you know what to ship! I do trust them when they say what you will get and the condition it is in. Good work Brussel's!!
