Canned or bottled is never as good as fresh, of course. This will do if you really want to add the flavor and don't care too much about the texture.

We have a store in btown Ohio were they sell expired good for pennies on the dollar. We go there looking for odd stuff and this happened to be 1 of the things we picked up for 99 cents a jar I was very happy with IT.

Can't touch fresh, when it comes to the right textures of nopalitos, but these are soooo convenient to have on hand. Because they are sliced and in a jar, they are slightly more slimy (i know, bummer) than fresh. But the convenience is pretty nice, espeically if we're using them in a dish where the softer texture is not as bothersome -- in salads, fajitas, on pizza, etc. As far as "canned" versions go, these are top notch.

Easy to use. Good for you. What more can you ask. I scramble them with eggs. Put them in salads, soups & baked dishes. They have virtually no affect on my blood sugar.
