I bought this for someone who hates ladles for the room they take up. This one is small enough not to bother her, and she loves it. I no longer have to see her scooping soup out of a pot with a mug. I've got the large version. The ladles hook catches the lip of the pot so it doesn't slide down into your soup. Perfect in every way.

This is a great ladle, but it's certainly not 13.5 ounces!!! I almost went with the 8 ounce but this one caught my eye because it was supposedly larger and slightly cheaper...this was not the case. Come to find out it's actually 1.6 ounces and not 13.5. It's quality is worth 5 stars but the mislabeling is why I subtracted a star. REWRITE DESCRIPTION, please. Thanks Rosale for quality products!!

Like the ladle but put most of my gadgets in a drawer or caddie . It would be better if I hung it up since it does have the curved handle. I bought it during my Americas Test Kitchen phase of life.

Looks good, functions beautifully. It is curved just the right bit. The hook on the end keeps it from falling into the pot.The long handle allows you to use it in deep stock pots, but it is too long to use for serving out of small containers. Don't confuse this with a gravy ladle.

Everything about this ladle is perfect, just like Cook's Illustrated said. One terrible flaw that I can't overlook though is that it has a very sharp edge around the rim of the ladle bowl that scratch up the interior of enameled dutch ovens very easily. I always make my soups, stews, and chilies in Le Creuset dutch ovens so unfortunately I won't be able to keep it. If you're using non-enameled cookware this will work perfectly for you. If your're using Le Creuset or any other enameled cookware you might want to search elsewhere. I'll be returning mine promptly.
