I love these! Love, love, love them! I hate to exercise--or, rather, I hate to sweat publicly. I used to be a pretty serious lap swimmer, but with a busy family, I couldn't manage to fit in trips to the lap pool at the gym. We have a very small (28 foot) in-ground swimming pool and I was pathetically trying to swim laps fast enough to get my heart rate up. Not working...until I got these! They make for a good workout, and I'm only on 3 lbs. per foot. I look forward to building up to 5 lbs per foot. I wear them pretty much the entire time I"m in the pool--swimming laps, water aerobics, even just water walking and hopping around with the kids. They were pretty expensive, so I hesitated, since most exercise equipment ends up at a yard sale. But these are great, and I wear them all the time. They are soft around the ankle--no chaffing at all.
Great product

I bought these for my PT exercises and I have not used them in the pool yet. too cold. But they work great on dry land and can't wait to try them in the pool. Easy to use and easy to add or subtract the weights. soft and comfortable too.
Seemed a little bit small at first

i purchased these weights after a knee injury to help with the physical therapy. I have medium-sized ankles for a female and find that, when set up with all the weights in, there is just about enough velcro to keep these things on my ankles. They could be more secure if the velcro strap were a little longer.
I read a review before purchase where one person said that they could use these weights as ankle and thigh / knee weights. There is no way that I could use these on my thighs. They are way too small. I have found though that strapping the two together around my thigh will give weight above the knee on one leg. They are just a tiny little bit loose this way. This is handy for the physical therapy where I want to keep the weight above the knee joint (for use with one leg at a time).
It is great that I can use these in the water too as that is an ideal low impact workout for somebody with a recovering knee. The price is good and I am happy overall with the purchase.

They are comfortable. Easy to put on and take off

These weights have proven to be everything I've expected and more. They are comfortable. Easy to put on and take off. Easy to vary the amount of weight per foot; very important to me. And I've experienced releases in my legs, hips and pelvis that I've been trying to affect for several months. I started with two weights per foot and that proved to be too much so I was able to cut it back to one and that worked fine. I have since graduated back to two.
love them for the jacuzzi

I love how comfy these are. VERY adjustable. I also have the wrists weights. I do NOT use these for swimming. I use them in the jacuzzi because they hold me in place over the jets. The jets in our backyard jacuzzi were strong and I would float all over the place. Having the ankle weights and wrists weights on allows me to stay slightly anchored so I can enjoy the massaging jets without floating around. They are actually fairly lightweight under the water so it's very easily move around in them, but it is enough weight to keep you in place better. They are also an incentive to go ahead and do some leg lifts and arm lifts for exercize while I'm enjoying the jacuzzi. Very happy with this purchase. I dont have a pool, but I think they would be fabulous for doing pool aerobics! If you have very tiny ankles, buy the wrist weights for your ankles. The weights are easy to make lighter by taking out some of the slide-in weights. I don't know why you would want to do that unless you were using them for aquatic-based physical therapy and needed very low weight. Either way, these are very versatile and comfortable.
