This works as described, keeping the insulin pens cool. Please note this isn't a refrigerator, so it's not going to keep anything cold. It's designed to keep insulin at room temperature, which is in the 70s. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star review is because I don't think it will last long with continual use. The material and stitching is not heavy or durable enough to withstand continual use. This may be due to the need for it to be porous enough to allow evaporation, but with current materials technology, I would think there would be a way to make this a little more rugged.

I used this for a two day outing in 85+ weather during the day with sporadic tidbits of shade during the day. I was super skeptical at first, but found the Frio bags to be highly effective. Understand that it will not keep your insulin ice cold, it will however keep it noticeably cooler than the environment around you. Make sure to follow directions, this is very important.
At night I would keep the Frio bag in the mesh pocket at the top of my tent, during the day I would keep it in the empty mesh pocket on the side of my day pack where a second water bottle would normally go.

This thing is amazing! I didn't believe it would actually work, but after having to throw four separate insulin pens away this summer due to the negative effects of sun/heat on insulin, it has been a life saver! Get the two pen sleeve and pair it with an idream365 (search that on Amazon) pencil/pen carrying case and you have the perfect insulin pen protective carrying case combo! You can store extra pen needles in the small elastic pouches in the case and you can leave the case slightly unzipped on one end to let enough air in to let the Frio sleeve breathe to enhance the evaporative cooling effect! Get the Frio sleeve (I don't use the sleeve wallet) combine with the above mentioned case and you got yourself a winning combo you will utilize every single day keeping your insulin pens/insulin safe and sound!

This is a repurchase . Have been using these exact items for several years now . Of course you need to know that they are only meant to keep somewhat cooler than the temperature they are in. Room temp 75 degrees will keep insulin considerably cooler than the 75 degree room temp .
If left in 100 degree temp for very long (hour) or longer starts to effect insulin in a bad way . From experiences only.

It definitely works and keeps insulin cool and is easy and quick to set up. Not satisfied with the size. It might work for two insulin pens but putting two insulin vials means stacking one on another and the worst part is taking them out without breaking. Super difficult to get one vial out, not to mention another one that is on the bottom of the wallet. I'm trying to use it just for one vial and I'm not pushing it all the way down. Works, but my hopes for this price were to able to keep two vials in the wallet (two types of insulin) without leaving evening insulin behind at home.
