Excellent protection for heat sensitive medicine

This is my third purchase of FRIO cases. The individual cooling wallet is perfect for protecting insulin pens in a discrete easy to use pouch. I got one in black, but it's easier to see and find a brighter color when you want your insulin.
These are not freezer packs, and they are effective for days at a time. You must allow the moist case to breath so they can keep your meds cool. Putting them in a plastic bag defeats their cooling effectiveness. They are slightly moist, but not wet to the touch, so don't leave these on your wooden furniture if you don't like water rings. If they dry out, then they stop cooling. Easy to soak in water for their next or continuous use.

This little pouch is super slick and easy to use. It kept my insulin pen cool on a motorcycle road trip. I wish I knew this existed earlier. I would have had piece of mind that my insulin was safe from the heat. It would be great for the beach or hot car.

I am on two medications that I self-inject. Although not insulin, they are VERY expensive and must be refrigerated. Cost me $5000 to replace one when I got caught on a plane tarmac in a snowstorm for 6 hours. (My ice pack expired and the flight attendants ran out of ice.) These are amazing. So easy to use, very compact (unlike the coolers that were the only option before these), and they work fantastically. Whether a short road trip or long flight, I just stick my injection pens in and no more worries. Mine are pre-filled pens, so larger than insulin needles you have to fill from a bottle. But they both fit into the FRIO singles cases. LOVE them, and could have saved me $5000.
