These are great! Keeps your insulin in the pump cool, even in hot weather. A lot of people don't realize insulin gets hot and quits working. My husband has been using this Frio product now for about four years.

This is a rudimentary evaporative cooling system that is very bulky. While the Velcro serves a purpose, it snags the heck out of your clothing if any velcro is exposed. Necessary evil for the Tandem t:slim when living in the desert.

I love FRIO packs, and use them to keep my insulin cool when I travel in hot climes. They really do work, and I'm sure they have prevented many a hospital visit due to ineffectual insulin.
I ordered this to keep my pump cool this summer, but I did not receive the waterproof pouch. The package only had the gel pack and the outer pouch, and I may have caused significant damage to my pump without the waterproof inner pouch. Be careful when you receive your order!

Just what I needed to keep the insulin in my pump cool while I'm out in the hot sun working with horses! It doesn't quite last all day, as I would like it to, and I'm thinking it would be nice if they were to offer a 2-pack -- you could be using one while the other was resting in a cool place, ready to be substituted out if necessary. But in general, I don't know how I ever lived without it! :-)
