Neat product

What a neat product. I bought this for one of my patients who is homeless and a diabetic. It allows her to remain compliant with her meds because she is able to keep them cool. It's a unknown plight of homeless diabetics but they have difficulty finding places that will refrigerate their medicine, due to the stigma around needles. This product solves that problem as she is able to keep her medicine cool by soaking the bag in water every few days.
Great for allergy meds

We used this for my son's epi pens at the beach and pool. Other than having to remember to soak the bag before leaving for the day, we had no issues with it. I went with the XL size to be certain we had enough room. I have heard the large will hold 2 epi pens, but the XL was just perfect and cost nearly the same amount.
Lifesaver for people needing to carry epipens/allergy medication

What a lifesaver, literally. My son suffers from a severe tree nut allergy, so his epipens must go everywhere that he goes. As he is getting older it was getting more and more difficult to have him carry his own epipens, many times for fear of temperature regulation. Last year he started middle school, which meant activities after the school day, so his epipen would be in his hot locker after school or in his backpack on a hot bus on the way to and from track meets. I needed a surefire solution to keep my son safe, and I discovered this wonderful Frio case. I purchased a large sized case, which holds 2 epipens, as well as a bottle of benadryl. It keeps my son's medication at the perfect temperature, even in extreme heat. This provides some relief and helps alleviate some of the anxiety of whether or not his epipens are still safe to use because of the extreme temperatures that occur in school and on the bus. I highly recommended this product to any person dealing with allergies and having to carry epipens. It will keep it at just the right temperature......not too hot and not too cold.
You need these if you travel!!

Dang!!! These work well! Carried a month's supply of Lantus and Humalog on a trip to Egypt and Morocco and never had to worry about finding a refrigerator!
Read the directions, though; you can't just open it and use it immediately. It takes 20 min or so of soaking in cold water, then another 20 min or so of resting (so it doesn't drip or squeeze water out) before you can put it in your travel bag and go.
I found that it lasted 10-12 days once it was cold and wet.

This is excellent for transporting insulin and keeping it cool for many days. It keeps the insulin around 40-50 degrees consistently and all you have to do is add cold water to it every so many hours after the initial dunking. It doesn't leak either, the water evaporates and that is how it stays cold. Awesome way of storing insulin for camping, or other travel when a refrigerator isn't available.
