I bought this hoping it would fit into a handle made by Scott 35 yrs ago...yep. It worked and I used it today and really am pleased with the way it gets the weeds lifted and out. Yes you may just be getting the tops but in some cases the roots are coming up with the push/pull motion. I think it's great and I just may look at their other products. Scott made a similar product back in the 80's (also made in Germany) and I bought the handle and some attachments. When I saw this, I figured I would take a chance. I'm glad I did. thanks.
Ok for light soil, smaller weeds.

Ground must be moist for this to work. This will not work for getting grass or large weeds out of flowerbeds, etc. but for small weeds it works surprisingly well. You get results with a "push/pull" motion. If your soil is rocky or very dry, you will find this ineffective, I'm afraid.
Be aware that you have to buy the handle that attaches to this tool. It does not have screw threads allowing it to attach to standard handles. I will say that it is very well made, however, and should last a long, long time.

Be sure to get the long handle. I got the short one expecting to use this on my knees, but this is too big for that.

Amazingly cuts through the soild and takes out weeds
