Initially this made my aquarium dirty. There are better products with much less silt in the water.
Nice product

Nice sand, and arrives in a strong bag.
It was very easy to clean

It was very easy to clean. I took the end of my hose and did like the instructions suggested: cut two holes in top of bag at either end, and stuck one end of the hose thru one hole deep down and turned on the water. Eventually, I just stuck my faucet wand (unscrewed the wand part) right into the bag). It only took a very small amount of rinsing before it ran clear. There was minimal cloudiness once I put it in the tank. I started doing it with a lemonade jug but ended up just pouring it in with the bag. No problems with the fish, at all.
I put a good amount in my 29g, enough for real and plastic plants to be covered well and still had enough to put a thin layer in my 55g. I usually only keep bare bottom tanks, so I only wanted enough to just cover the bottom without it being deep. So one bag worked for two tanks. 40 would've been over-kill, despite 1.5-2 20lb bags being suggested for my 29g. Within 30 mins the 29 was completely clear and the 55 never wasn't. Very pleased, it looks great.

This is the first time I have ever bought sand and my fish love it. This product, even though it needs to be rinsed until the water is clear, was very clean when I put it in the aquarium. I had very little clouding. YouTube how to put sand in your aquarium it really helps.
Beautiful texture and luminescence.

I finally got around to using this 20lb bag of the white sand. This sand has an amazing texture. It's light and slightly luminescent and is such a nice upgrade to my little 10 gallon tank. In a ten gallon tank you will have almost 3 inches of depth which is great because this is a turtle tank and the sand volume allows for various depths to make the tank more dimensional. I really love the color and the texture of the sand. I actually didn't pre-rinse the sand because I was in a bit of a rush but it really didn't have much dust in it. Once I had the tank arranged I turned on the pump filter and used the included water conditioned. Within 20 minutes it was ready and the water was super clear. This substrate is superior to small gravel I had used in the past. Love it.
