Nice device for my violin
maybe later

You must diss-assemble frog to install, Im not ready to commit for a questionable result. Looks like a struggle..maybe try later on a cheapie practice bow.

I really like this. It has helped me move from the thumb under frog fiddle grip to the classical position, but the thumb is a little constrickted. I don't think the back bottom thumb brace is really necessary. It is the thickness that is the big help and is suggested by none other than the great Sevcik. I have to adm I have lost a lot of my wrist fluidity as the great Mark O'Conner demonstrates, but I feel that the classical grip gives a purer tone and connection to the note that the thumb under grip lacks, not to mention being able to use the entire bow.
Great for beginners on the violin and viola

Great for beginners on the violin and viola. Doesnt fit perfectly where it should be but I guess its close enough. Many people have tried pushing this back but it stays pretty firm

This item did not help me. I am trying to improve my bow hold and was hoping that this device would help me to hold it properly and also eventually train my fingers to hold the bow in the correct position. However, the raised parts of the device, which indicate where the fingers should go, are minimally raised and I could not even feel them while I was playing. I suppose this item could be helpful for someone who is just looking for a way to thicken the bow for a more comfortable hold. However, I decided to remove it from my bow, and when I did, the leather wrap also came off the bow! Now I'll have to take it to my luthier for a repair.
