I wasnt on the market for a power conditioner, but got this one one sale for $25 to power my 5w amp head and various effects pedals.
It is built like a tank compared standard surge protectors, and the 15 ft cord is an awesome bonus. But the fact that it really does reduce / inhibit unwanted noise is it's best quality.

SPECIFICATIONS
Weight: 2.64 lbs, very sturdy construction
AC Power Cord: 15ft, yes, 15 feet long. You can extend it to anywhere in your room
SOUND IMPROVEMENT
The comments you read here on Amazon are pretty accurate. It works for sound improvement. Even for my basic setup for Vinyl LP recording from turntable to PC, this Furman power strip actually changes my not-quite-right sound that I hear into a very clear and balance musical sound...immediately. I was impressed. It is worth every penny.
I just ordered another SS-6B to use on my stereo equipment. I am pretty certain it will work there too.

First off, I"˜ve owned TWO of these units for about 15 years now.
One got a LOT of use with my son"˜s band when he was in high school, got kicked around the garage, basement, outside (in dry weather) for various projects, the other was simply hung from the wall behind my garage workshop bench.
Which one held up best?
Of course the one that was hung up.
What hasn"˜t held up with the kickaround unit?
Well, the outlets started getting wonky, wouldn"˜t hold plug prongs, couple of "šem broke, so I bought a handful of outlets from a bigbox hardware store, dismantled the box, removed/installed new outlets, and VOILA! Like new.
Then the plug broke. EZPZ replacement (if you know how hot and neutral connect), and VOILA! Like new. Again.
THEN the switch broke. [insert sad face emoji here]
This took some thinking. I went through various online electronic parts catalogs (I"˜d mention them but amazon would nuke this review) looking for an appropriate switch, AFTER I tried removing the original, which is soldered in place like it was meant to survive the next giant meteor apocalypse. So I "žhotwired" it to always on when plugged in, so basically it"˜s just a multi-outlet extension cord with EFI and surge protection and, although no longer "žlike new" it works when I need it to.
One other "žcon" is the cord. Seems to me that over time, a decade or two, extension cords coming out of Laogai in mainland China have far too much PVC and too little plasticizer so that over time, the cord starts to handle like a coil of copper tubing. Another EZPZ fix if you find a GOOD cold-weather 12/2 cord (I did) to replace the original.
Overall good value, would buy again for the price, function, longevity, ease of repair (except for that switch and, if you leave it in place, the gradual hardening of the cord is less of an issue).
