I have a lot of computer equipment Add all the chargers, desk lights etc and I need many outlets. I have cheaper power strips, with one plugged into another.. As the load was light I was not worried about this. Then my brother in law visited. He told me that what I was doing was great... for him. That is how he gets most of his fire repair work. So I threw out all the cheap light-weight strips and started to replace them with strips only being plugged into the wall outlets.
This is one of those strips. I like this. It has the Amazon brand on it, which aside from anything else means that all the safety ratings are true, not made up by someone is a factory thousands of miles away who doesn't care about legal issues.
The outlets are well spaced, so am adapter plug isn't taking two or three outlets.
It feels solid. A metal case that will take a beating without frying my family in our sleep!

Good power strips are cheap insurance. For a few extra dollars you can know that outlets are not warming up or sparking. You and your family are worth this.

This power strip has a heavy plastic construction that feels sturdy enough for home or small office use. 15A is probably the minimum safety rating for home office electronics use. I advise getting something more robust for any kind of heavy machinery. It is UL certified for independently verified electrical safety. Many US companies will not buy electrical or electronic equipment that is not UL certified. News report say that Amazon is being investigated because of safety defects in some of their electrical products. I have more faith in this one because it is UL certified, while most other Amazon devices are not UL certified.

It has full 15-Amp capacity, the proper 14-gauge power cord to carry that amount of current, good surge protection capabilities, and UL certification for safety. To keep dust out, the individual outlets have sliding shutters, which open and close effortlessly (maybe too easily to be honest). You'll always know the power strip's status with its separate lights for power, grounding, and protection.

The power cord has a regular 3-prong plug on the end, which is fine, but I do prefer the low-profile style plug that more easily allows the strip to be plugged into a wall behind furniture. Another aspect that could be improved is the keyhole slots on the bottom of the power strip. The slots are shaped such that the strip can be positioned only in a vertical orientation. I would prefer if the slots were T-shaped or L-shaped to permit horizontal mounting.

All things considered, this is a very solid 4-star power strip. A couple tweaks would bring it close to perfection, but nevertheless, this surge protector will definitely be in very regular use at my house.
