I inherited a dog that absolutely refuses to come
in the house - even at 40 below!! Stubborn old girl. So we fixed her an insulated/heated spot up in the shop shed and got this heated bowl. Worked like a charm through an exceptionally rough winter in Montana.

I've been using for my chickens all winter. It keeps water above freezing but not so hot that it wastes electricity and causes water to evaporate overnight. Very satisfied so far ...

Works Great-when it's works! I have bought two of these units. First one lasted a couple of months. Called company and was told to send unit back at my cost. If unit was a defective unit they would send me a new one once they check out the one I returned. Decided to not pay to ship it back to them as it was almost the same amount of money to buy a new unit. The second unit worked perfectly for a few months then it stopped heating the water. Water in bowl would be solid ice every morning. I called the company again and was told to try this- unplug bowl and wipe clean, place in freezer for 45 minutes to one hour, bring bowl into house and immediately plug in. The bowl shockingly started to warm up. They said that it resets the thermostat. Bowl is working like new again!

I use this as a water bowl for the chickens. It is perfect for that. Their water no longer freezes over in the winter time. It's a great product.
