I love this simple toy. More to the point, our cat loves this toy. Great bargain! We have a set of feather attachments for a fishing pole type toy which we also bought on a lightning deal. Hours of entertainment for less than the price of lunch. Our cat loves to play so much he will place his paw on the toy drawer and beg. Playing with your cat strengthen the bond between cat and guardian. Using toys like this Cat Dancer encourages your cat to chase something other than your hands and feet, which can be a bad habit.

This has got to be the best toy of it's kind (or any kind, for that matter) for cats. Maverick and Maggie are two years old, and they play with it whether anyone else is playing or not. They quickly taught little 3-month-old Malachi to love it, too.
As others have said, my cats will drag it to wherever they want it and usually have another cat following along trying to catch it. Two things make this a special toy for us:
1.) They know it as "toy." When I ask one to get his/her toy, they ignore me at first, but it is usually brought into view within five to ten minutes!
2.) If they want me to play but I'm asleep, they will bring the toy into bed and pile up the fleece on top of my hand. This is a subtle hint for Mama to get up and play.
Some have mentioned that their cats eat stringy objects, so, of course, if your cat/s is like that, I would use caution. So far, none of mine show this tendency.

My kitten *absolutely* loves this toy!!! I just bought a second one so that I could have one on each floor of my two story home.
It also seems to be a toy that he can really sink his teeth into, which is great, considering that he's going through the teething stage and everything seems to be a chew toy, including my toes, fingers, etc. I have gotten really good at distracting him with this toy.
It's holding up well -- I haven't had them very long, but the feathers are all ripped off the other wand toys in the house. This one is still A-OK.

I'm not sure what it is about this cat ribbon toy - we had another one and I ordered this one as a backup for when our kitten hides the other. Our two cats go bonkers over this toy, far more so than the one we have that has feathers on it. I think it might be because the handle is translucent - if they can't see the handle, perhaps they think that it is actually alive and isn't connected to their humans, which makes them wild for it. Even our older cat, who usually dislikes ribbon toys, goes nuts over this toy. It's great!

Wow, my cat loves this toy. He isn't really fond of toy mice or balls but for some reason this really catches his eye. The stretchy-ness of the string itself really ads some fun when playing with you cat as well as I often find myself playing "tug-of-war" with my cat. My only complaint would be the flimsy plastic stick it comes attached to. First of all, the string itself is attached to the stick and came apart almost instantly. After I put it back together (with healthy amount of hot glue). Second, just a few days after having it, the plastic snapped in half. However, I still play with my cat with toy because he does seem to love it so much.
