I gave this five stars because it is great for the price. This stand is very light weight, and it does not look like it would hold up if it were constantly being setup and taken down, Fortunately, I bought it to use with my practice drum set, which never moves. I would not recommend this stand for gigging, but it is very good as a backup, for use with a second kit, or for someone just learning to play.

5 stars for what this is. If you are looking a quality hit hat stand for a reasonable price this stand is excellent. Some reviews mark this down because it is not as good as "top of the line" brands... It's not supposed to be. You could easily gig with this. Fantastic for sub $100.
