Nice sound but very small bongos!

These are much smaller than I anticipated, with the drum head about the size of the palm of an adult hand. [I didn't pay attention to the measurements, so that's on me.] That said, they have a nice little bongo sound, with differences between sides and from rim vs center. As a music teacher, they actually are nice for working with preK children, especially that the price is right.

It's a pretty good little drum, was alittle smaller then expected. My only real complaint is never let it get wet or in high humidity. We took it camping and over night the leather loosened and warped. It never got wet from dew or anything, shear humidity ruined the skin on the drum.

I bought these for my grandson on his first birthday. My grandson loves music and would just beat on anything he got his hands on. He absolutely loved them and they are on the small side so I think they are great for a child. Also they are made well and held up really great to daily beatings ... LOL I would definitely buy them again.

I purchased these as a gift for my nephew (a 6 years old), who really wanted a set. I didn't realize how small they were until they came in, which I guess is more my error and not really a product issue. They were just too small to give him as a gift so I never did give it to him. The bongos would probably be ok for a really small child. I don't know anything about bongos and how they are supposed to sound, so I can't really comment in that respect. The sound these produce is dull. Personally, I was not impressed with these. If you are purchasing for a very young child, they may fit your needs.

Bought these for my daughter as a first drum set. They have to be held off the floor to make any decent noise, a problem for small children. They also require a VERY firm hit, placed exactly right, to get a decent sound. Even my husband has a hard time producing any sort of beat from these drums. Very disappointing product.
