Way better than "Just a Rug"...
steveFebruary 22, 2017
I bought this product 10 years ago and it is still in use today. I bought another one as we bought a new drum kit for going on the road. This product worked so well that we did not hesitate to buy another one for the new kit. Excellent product. Keeps the bass drum (and basically the kit) in place, on pretty much any flar surface.
This really isn't a useful drum rug at all

This really isn't a useful drum rug at all. It's much too thin to protect my wooden floor from scratching, so I had to put extra padding underneath. That defeats the purpose of having a rug. On top of that, it slides around because it has no grip whatsoever except on the corners, and since there's no weight on those, they do nothing to keep the rug in place. So basically it's entirely useless, except for keeping the bass drum in place with the block.

Nice concept on the design with the weights on the corners thin light wieght material for storage.but that light wieght material ended up being a fail.i had to nail the rug to the ground.it might get 5stars if they put some heavier material in it.but ya get what ya pay for.

This is the second one of these rugs that I've owned. I accidentally left my first one on stage at a festival. My only complaint about this rug is that there is no rubber grip on the main part of the rug. The rubberized grip is only on the edges, which works pretty well; however, if you're on a really slick surface (like painted concrete or hardwood), the rug will walk every time you hit the bass.
Just "ok" - kind of pricey for what you get. Can do better elswhere.

I am using this to protect my wood floors from my drum set and also to keep the drums from moving around. I have two issues; first is the thickness of this pad. It's basically a thin piece of cheap material that is actually thinner than some of the indoor/outdoor carpet you can buy at the big box home stores off their spools. Second, is that the product advertises that the mat is made to prevent the drums from moving. Well, maybe, if you read the product description it says "Nonskid rubber trim prevents creeping." - look closely at the item picture, the trim is about 1/4 to 1/2 inc around the edge of the mat and some smallish triangles in the corners. The mat itself is just fabric on both sides and so is actually quite slippery on my wood floors. the trim does absolutely nothing to prevent slippage. It's an "ok"product but I could have just bought a carpet remnant and done just as well for way less money.
