Great throne .I put a backrest on it and use it for playing my guitars & banjo.It has replaced my desk chair as well.This pedestal works best for guitar as you can lean back with no fear of tipping over.Very well made .I'm 6' 250 lbs. And the pnuematic cylinder for height adjustment is holding up great so far.

This is a quality product. I started using Roc-n-Soc drum thrones ROC-N-SOC Lunar Series Gas Lift Drum Throne Black about 9 years ago and stopped looking for anything else. These are sturdy thrones with a quality frame and luxurious fabric over a very nice padding. The thing I like most about this particular model is it's height-adjustability. This throne goes higher than the sister three-legged version but also goes just as low. I like to sit high when playing my drum kit, so this feature is awesome.

I've used Roc-N-Soc thrones in my percussion studio for over 7 years now and they have withstood hundreds of hours of use within the studio and on the road. I would (and do) recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality product who is not concerned with skimping on cost. Yes, it's a little pricey - go WELL worth the extra $$, IMHO.

I have bought four of these over the years for different drum sets. They are very comfortable. Easy to adjust height , even when sitting on it. Very sturdy. Five feet legs. A little heavy to move if you gig, but great at home.

My Granddaughter was in a life threatening accident, and we discovered these work great for make-up and doing hair. She used mine at my house, so I ordered her one and had it delivered to her house.

This is the most comfortable drum throne I have ever sat in. Assembles in seconds and holds firm. Height adjustment and wide-seat comfort put this throne in a class of its own. The seat strikes an impressive balance of maintaining comfort for thinner folks while firmly supporting those bigger and taller. The center of gravity feels ergonomic/natural for a wide range of motion, and rewards good posture.

My son is very happy with this drum seat, he uses it when he plays drums and also at his desk.
