Good, slight wobble.

The throne works exceptionally well for the money. Depending on how high you need it there's a possibility of wobbling. If you're ok with that then it's great.
Feels great

Good price for a professional drum stool
It’s ok.

I like the spiral movement up and down. But the seat is relatively hard and unforgiving. There are a lot softer seat materials that could have been used.
It's also a little wobbly even with the screws tightened up.
The seat is big tho, so the butt fits well on it.
It's decent for the money, but I should have researched the materials better and spent a little more on something softer.

You need to assemble correctly

I have read in many reviews of this product that state that the seat wobbles after assembly. There is no issue with stability if assembled correctly. You need to set the seat to the proper height, spin the knurled collar down to the point where the threaded seat post meets the body of the tripod, then lock the seatpost in position with the thumbscrew. Then adjust the two lower thumbscrews on the tripod to the point where they just make contact. Do not tighten them fully. This allows the seat and seat post to turn within the tripod. The seatpost will not loosen when assembled this way, and the seat will not wobble.
comfort at a great price

I am beginning to play the acoustic and classical guitar. The position for playing classical guitar particularly makes the use of a chair, especially one with any backward slope problematic. Basically I have to sit way forward on the edge of the chair which isn't very comfortable. This drum throne works. Seems plenty sturdy enough, I am 170#. I haven't had it long and so can't comment on durability, but I don't see why it wouldn't be. If there are issues I will update the review.
