A great product for the money. I was pleased overall with the purchase and use it a couple of times per week while night-walking my 101 lb. chocolate Lab. My only recommendation would be if the light were more stationary (maybe s sturdier collar) to keep the light more focused but that may not be possible or cost-effective (I would pay more). Either way, I am happy with the purchase and would buy a replacement if needed.

I contacted PupLight by email and told them about the problem. They replied and said that they would replace the light...hopefully they will.

Thought this was great at first but after only 2 months the front of the light falls off and the batteries fall out on the ground. Probably less aggravation to just duct tape a flash light to your dogs head.

We have a hound dog but live in the city. Long story but he's a bit high energy and once in a while he bolts and then tears around the neighborhood. I got this so I could find him at night when he gets loose, when he's tracking he's very quite and tends to stay close to houses and in the bushes. Now whenever we go out I put the light on him. It's funny the effect but people are more aware and safer around you when the dog has a light, both pedestrians and drivers, which is a nice additional benefit. And if he gets loose again it should make him easier to find. I use rechargeable AAA batteries and walking 20-30 minutes a night it's a week or 2 before I have to recharge them, which seems pretty good. The title seems to imply that the light is good for 15 feet and I'd say at least that much, I'm impressed. Seems to be pretty well made.

I love how bright this light is, but the clip is made of pretty thin flimsy plastic and one of the hooks broke off within 2 uses. So now it can only hang from one half of the clip, awkwardly swinging sideways off of the collar, or I have to get inventive and wrap the collar around the broken clip somehow to make it stay in place. Wish it came with a replacement clip because otherwise it's a really good light to use at night when walking/running with the dogs. Don't try to use any other collars with it, or put any force on the clip, because the hooks will break off.

I really like the way this makes our dog more visible to cars and also lights up a bit of the sidewalk, thus showing obstructions on the sidewalk.

It does have a few quirks which cause me to nick it one star: the battery compartment is rather a hassle to open and the batteries are hard to remove. We use NiMh rechargeable batteries, which last about a week of evening walks, so this is a bit of a headache. Also, despite the fact that its collar comes with an extension piece for larger dogs, there is a mid-range of sizes that is not covered (because the extension piece is too long). A bit of sewing will fix that.

Despite the quirks I'm very glad we have this. I have not seen anything better.
