We bought this fat separator literally 10 years ago. And it's still looking quite new. Much more reliable than fat separators that have an opening at the bottom. This separator has never been leaky, has a filter at the top that filters out large chunks of food and debris when I'm straining my soup or gravy. And I throw the whole thing in the dishwasher and it comes back out perfectly clean. Easy to use!

This was a gift, and I could not like it more. I use it far more than I ever expected to do as well. I used to do backflips working around having to haul a separator out, turns out when the separator is high quality it is incredibly useful. This holds up well to very hot liquids (I had a different one crack once and it made an incredible mess), the strainer holes are perfectly sized, and the spout stopper is durable and easy to use.
